Thanks. Might need to go there as Florida launches keep getting cancelled & the burn ban is almost the entire state :(

The new location is t 8840 Camden Hwy, Rembert, South Carolina. The waiver is 10k with an imposed limit of 9k. However, after being there, I personally would only fly to about 7-8k due to high trees and not much field. Additionally there is a cattle farm on the western edge - If your rocket lands there consider it lost as they don't want people on their land. It's worth going for the people though - really some neat stuff going on there - rocket powered gliders. A hydrogen rocket.

Next time I take a trip I want to go to North Carolina Rocketry. Huge field Bayboro location, bigger than the 16k waiver.

From rules:

Rocketry South Carolina has been granted a 10,000' MSL (above mean sea level) CFA (controlled firing area) by the FAA. Our MAXIMUM FLIGHT ALTITUDE is 9,000' AGL (above ground level). Our MAXIMUM FLIGHT ALTITUDE is strictly enforced and any flight that is likely to exceed it will be barred. In consideration of the safety of everyone, we request that all flights which are expected to exceed 6,000' be equipped with a redundantly actuated recovery system. We strongly recommend that these multi-stage recovery systems (i.e. drogue/streamer and main) which are electronically actuated(i.e. via altimeter, timer, RC control, or any combination of the above).

There are more details on their rules page her for multi-stage: http://rocketrysouthcarolina.org/rocketry/launch-information/site-rules/icbm-rosco-launch-rules/

^ I added the above two paragraphs to the info about ROSCO just now.
