The success of our enterprise is only as good as the people behind it. Pictured above are the passionate people who have made PML the number one high-power rocketry company in the world.

Our mission statement is simple:
"Design and manufacture the best rockets in the world and give our customers the best possible service. Period."

My name is Frank R. Uroda. I've been designing, building, and flying rockets of all sizes for over 30 years. Along the way, I've learned a thing or two about building strong and nicely finished models. I discovered very early on when beginning to get into larger motors that using F motors and bigger in standard models produces large amounts of confetti and "sky writing". Even before the debris hit the ground, I knew I had to find an alternative.

At first, heavy duty cardboard tubing, plywood fins and epoxy became the new materials of choice. I was on the right track, but there were still some problems. Almost every time I flew one of my "new and improved" rockets, even after a perfect flight, there seemed to be some kind of repair to be done. A broken fin, a kinked airframe, or damaged motor mount. I thought that I was doing something wrong, but most of my "rocket buddies" that had also ventured into higher power levels were having the same problems. Hundreds of phone calls, scores of dead ends, and dozens of samples later, I finally found the right airframe/motor mount material, and it was the right price...phenolic tubing. The more I worked with it, the more I liked it. I eventually began building rockets for my buddies with the new materials. This then led to component manufacturing, the creation of PML as a company, and eventually complete kits.

Gerald Kolb and Frank formed PML "the company" back in 1990, and have had almost 12 years of success together. However, in the Fall of 2001, Jerry decided to pursue other opportunities available to him outside of PML, and Frank became the sole owner and proprietor. Frank has always been the lead project designer and production engineer, so you can be confident that you'll still get the same great quality, unique systems, and innovation that PML has built it's reputation on.

From the beginning, we at PML have devoted ourselves to researching, developing, and marketing new materials and components. Some of our most innovative products have been: G10 fiberglass fins. Phenolic tubing. Waddingless piston ejection system. Quantum Tube airframe. The Kwik Switch motor system. CPR Close Proximity Recovery, now in it's third generation. And on and on and on.
