Christmas Tree

OpenRocket / RockSim

Description

This is a Christmas Tree rocket I won from Wildman for buying a pint of Rocketpoxy during his black Friday sale. This kit comes with everything but a motor mount & chute protector. I think it was actually manufactured by Glenmarc Industries.

This kit also came with the most complete set of instructions I have ever seen full of color pictures!

Rail buttons are teflon coated alluminum so should last a long time!

18" parachute with spill hole & Kevlar shock cord.

Sanded & washed all FG parts prior to any epoxy.

Congrats! That's a fun looking kit!

I thought that the aluminum parts were for the electronics bay, but then I saw large holes in one side. What is that?

The one with the holes is the shock cord retainer which gets glued in the air frame above the MMT, "kind of" like an Aeropack design for motor eject. The solid piece is for the shock cord attachment to the NC. It's a 2 piece mount so it lets you put a tracker in the NC. It's really a cool little kit!
