Insane Rocketry

Description

Great launch this morning and excellent test of massive changes to the app for Android 8.0.

I need to review all columns in excel thoroughly to make sure they are properly captured.

Stratologger didn't realize the rocket launched so backup charge did not fire nor did it save telemetry data. Their threshold is 160 feet, I was just 4 feet shy of that. In the videos, you can hear the single beep repeated over and over, meaning drogue armed and ready, after it lands. For this case, drogue charge=main chute since it is a low altitude flight.

This test was using a Nexus 4, an older phone that can't upgrade to 8.0. I wanted to confirm the older still operates.

Sorry for the shaky hands!! Too much coffee & no breakfast. Launched before winds - 8:40AM!

Next test will occur on a high powered launch using the Nexus 5x on Android 8.0. I want to launch an L motor, between LaBelle and GRITS, I should get a chance.

I'll post the new version to the app store upon success, this version of the app required a major rewrite of many portions of the code dealing with how I gather telemetry data.

So the charge was still unspent then ? So did the motor charge go off then ?

Correct, motor charge went off. Drogue charge is intact. Had it gone 4 feet higher (160 feet), drogue charge would have fired because stratologger would have realized it was a launch. Page 25 of the StratologgerCF manual details that 160 is the minimum you can set this number to for Launch Detect.
