Description

Fantastic day out at LaBelle!

I forgot to video record the launch, but remembered midflight. Got apogee and descent/main on video! Edit: I thought I recorded apogee decent/main on video but because I was watching rocket and not phone, I must not have tapped the record button in the right place...

It looked like a bullet firing out of a gun. It was amazingly fast with the shedding of the pound of weight from recent mods. Straight and true launch. Spectacular, I wish I would have caught the launch on video.

Faster than mach flight @ 853 mph!

Excellent test results from the new customized code for Android 8.0. Looking forward to doing a full analysis.

Unfortunately, during final prep / renovations, I forgot to reseal the bay, so ejection gas entered the bay (very bad for electronics) and made poor video during descent.

New rocket configuration: 64 ft/sec drogue, 18.2 ft/sec main.

The Android 8.0 still needs one more "adjustment" that I need to do, and I did not notice prior to the flight....

They slowed down my 1/20 second slices to ONCE A SECOND. However, I can force them to honor my fast slicing. Overall it's a minor adjustment of code, but I'm disappointed that I don't have high resolution data. That's why the rotation graphs look weird.

I can make that adjustment and deploy without another rocket launch. I have confidence in the overarching code now.

I didn't just kiss mach, I broke it!

Stratologgers have smooth flight data, so I trust them. My data was only at a sample rate of one per second, for the graph data, but higher sample rate for the summary, which says 1251 ft/sec.This is confirmed with smooth flight data stratologger 1 1261 ft/sec, stratologger 2 1258 ft/sec.

Taking the lowest reading, most conservative reading from the Insane Rockets app, that is 853 mph.
