Mods resulted in a total loss of 1 pound of weight and is stable with K and L motors. The EZI is now the same weight as it was prior fixes required by CATO.
Configuration is similar to that of Tim's rockets and my Nutcracker, with interior of nosecone being used for shock cord and in this case drogue chute.

That is a stock loc plastic nosecone that I cut the shoulder off of. It would not fit over the 98mm electronics bay and I needed it to.

I then heated the end in boiling water, so it would soften but not melt. First I pressed it on metal egg to widen the lip so I could slip it on a 98mm motor casing to widen.

Once the lip was widened enough, placed the end nosecone and the 98mm motor casing in the boiling water to heat them up. It took about six times of repeating this process for the nosecone to stop "remembering" it's former smaller diameter. (It would slowly shrink when removed from the 98mm casing)

I stayed on the cautious side as I did not want the cone to MELT onto the casing. If it would have failed stop shrinking, I would have heated the tail end of the nosecone up to around 250 degrees and tried again.

The only signs of this process is slight cracks in the aft side of the nosecone where I accidentally pinched it as I was attempting to place it on the motor casing quickly. They are not noticeable unless you are really inspecting. I may fill them in at some point if they start to widen or I get a bee in my bonnet.
