Description

My second 4" Rocket from my buddy Eric, had a Cato and threw it away. I saved the best parts and bought some items to rebuild it. Has very nice fins and flies great, did one wrap of Carbon Fiber and one Fiberglass coat to give it more strength and that worked well. Will do an Av Bay with NO switch band. All integrated inside the rocket with switches and so. Also will have space to accommodate an Iphone 4S.

Update after flight dd. 11/15/2015 - Hell Cat has a small chip on the upper frame that needs fixing and painting. Probably caused by shock cord.

Working on the spin in the next few days also....According Jason the trim should be on the right side of the rocket, looking from the back of the rocket. Same as his EZI rocket, Will start will 1" full width Scott professional masking tape and a second strip of 1/2 the width of the same masking tape over the full length of the fin. Will put a thin strip of epoxy on it to secure the masking tape. And when all seems to work I will paint it.

Update 03/21/2017 - Working on the spin, sanded the fin edge down and applied 1" Scott masking tape on all three fins and on top of that a 1/2" Scott making tape, both full length of fin.

Update 05/05/2017 - Did some work on the AvBay and sled, did shorten the sled, cut asmallsection lip of the end so the bottom bulkhead will close properly, Also drilledthe screw more inside the bulkhead so it is embedded more to give the in side more room, seems to work well.

Update 06/24/2017 - After the June 14, 2017 flight Hell Cat needs more correction on the fins to make the spin less !!!

Update 08/20/2018 - I'm trying to use the 'Experimental' nose cone to fit with the Hell cat, and to fly with the RTX and the radio and blue tooth in the nose cone, lots of sanding to be done on bothshoulder and upper bay part of Hell cat to make it fit. The rocket will be substantiallylonger and heavier so I make sure to check CG and CP properly. So far sanding ishalf way done and it slides already in there but still very tight. More sanding next day !

Update 08/21/2018 - Today more sanding on the 'experimental' nose cone that will be used for the next flight to test out the Radio's / proxelle blue-toothand the phone. Hope also that the temperature is a bit cooler so that the Nexus 4 does not shutdown this time. It's slides in a bit better but maybe onemore day sanding to make it smoother going in and out.

Update 08/25/2018 - New Nose Cone done painting, holes drilled and smooth with the outside. Ready for a new experimental flight, Hell Cat II.
