Got my hands on a FREE cargo box, need keys and will paint it in the color of the car. Right now I cleaned it, sanded it and used automotive primer. Will sand it with 400 grid before applying the paint coat. It is around 76" long and approx.32" wide. Just perfect to fit two rockets and stuff.
Update 03/24/2022 - Today the 2 cans of spray paint came in, pepper dust is the color of the car, so that will go on the box also. Keys are already in the mail, it has two locks and opens on driver side and passenger side. The passenger side lock is a bit junky and will need fixing, or a new lock there.
Update 03/27/2022 - The crossbars came in today from Walmart, just a perfect fitfor those base plates and screws on the Chevrolet equinox roof. When the winds are low I will start painting the cargo box. Waiting on the next set of keys to work on the inside of the box.
Update 03/28/2022 - Started painting the box with 441B-Pepper dust paint for Chevrolet Equinox 2018. Does not look like the car color but close, will wax it and done, Still thinking of doing a second coat but then I have to order an extra spray can.
Update 03/29/2022 - Well, I did order another spray can, sanded the first coat with 1000 grit and hoping that the second coat will come out smoother, so than buffing and waxing..
Update 04/13/2022 - Well did sprayed on that extra coat but that did not make the difference, it needs lots of paint and sanding and painting. But all good for now, Did the buffing and some waxing and it looks acceptable for now. Took�it out to the first launch on April 16, 2022: and it was all good, just need to open the box very carefully so that the two halves not separate, have to keep one side locked while opening the other side !!!!
Update 04/22/2022 - Made an organizer for the inside of the Cargo box that holds 3" and 4" rockets and upper bay/nose cone of different sizes. There is also some space for smaller items. It's 12" wide and 44" long and there is still plenty of space for other items in the cargo box.

I have had my storage box for 9 years and while it is showing signs of wear, it is still going strong. For mine, a new coat of white paint would help.
