One of my L3 mentors that flew high out west all the time pointed out that he could fall faster and more organised with a drogue than drogueless, especially with small drogue equipped with spill hole. In addition, he mentioned that there is a good chance of a long narrow (min diameter) rocket, flying drogueless, entering an odd state where it comes down at near ballistic speeds. Those reasons made sense to me and I have confirmed, the former (descent rate speeds), in data.

The rocket is all prepped and ready to fly with the smallest drogue I own (10"). This configuration worked well on a prior flight to 6k+ and I'm going to stick to what has proven to work for me before. I'll experiment with drogueless on another flight where I can have visual on the entire descent.

Achieved my goal of breaking Mach 1. This would have been a club altitude record for J impulse if I had declared it as an official attempt before the launch.
