Lanuched on a Loki I430 with 12 second delay. Was using Jolly Logic chute release. Not sure what happened but GPS data suggests that the chute actually deployed about 2700' as the velocity was averaging 50 fps until that altitude and then it slowed way down to 20 fps which turned into a landing about 0.5 miles west of pads and it landed in a tree but was able to shake the tree & NC fell within reach. Tim did you find out what was wrong with the chute release ? or maybe the way the main parachute was packed ?
had to be how I had the chute packed. Since the chute was pulled out of the chute release, there was no tension on the rubber band so I figure that is why it appeared to not have "let go". Need to re-evaluate how I pack chute next time. I did a shake test but guess I didnt shake it hard enough!
