If you notice below the tip there is an odd thick structure with a chevron at the bottom. This is what the shock cord wraps around. At the midpoint (half way down the nosecone), you'll notice just to the right of the red axis line two holes in a single structure. The shock cord lines pass through this structure to the lower half of the nose cone. The four evenly placed holes are threaded. A nose cap is bolted to those four points so that the tip can be used for ground radio transmitters connected locally via bluetooth to the bay.

Nose printed in two pieces using ABS plastic. Both parts independently acetone vapored to improve strength.

3 perimeters thick with an interior 33%(base) 25%(top) honeycomb structure after perimeter.

Print rate slowed to print tip to 20%.

Both parts melted together by using acetone/abs made glue.

Finishing was performed with several coats primer, sanding, polishing.
